St Mary-at-Finchley church choir is recruiting tenors.

St Mary-at-Finchley church choir is recruiting tenors. We have just lost 2 through relocations. So if you’re reading this and you’re a tenor (male or female/non-binary) and think this would suit you please read on. This is a voluntary choir based at a lovely parish church in north London with a very supportive Rector and thriving music scene. The adult SATB robed choir rehearses weekly on Thursday evenings 8-930pm. The music is varied and includes new/old and lots in between.
We sing on Sunday mornings for the 10am parish Eucharist. There are 4 mass settings which we rotate. A different anthem each week, plus the hymns and psalms (we take turns as Cantor for the psalm). Typically members learn lots of music and also gain skill and confidence in their singing at St Mary-at-Finchley. It’s a supportive environment, and the church is outward- and forward-looking.
We also have a thriving Youth Choir which sings with the adults on major festivals but sings on its own approx once a month (giving the adult choir a Sunday morning off). We’re RSCM affiliated and enjoy some extra services eg choral evensong a few times a year.
