Join us in church on Sundays at 8am & 10am, or online at 7pm

Our Beliefs

We are a Christian church in the liberal catholic tradition and part of the Church of England.

We look to be confident and prayerful in our faith in Jesus Christ, compassionate in our involvement with the local community, and creative in our engagement with music and art. (You can read more about this in detail in our Mission Action Plan.) We are a member of Inclusive Church and Churches Together.

You can listen to some of our sermons and talks here.

Our Community

People from many different countries and different age groups gather together to worship at St Mary’s on Sundays. We meet for coffee and refreshments after the 10am service, and there is a wide variety of activities to be involved with throughout the week.

You can read more about our community activities here.

Our History

The oldest parts of our church building date from 14th century, and a church existed on this site from at least Norman times.

You can read more about the church’s history here.
