Summer Refreshment Evening
“Winter is cold hearted,
Spring is yea and nay,
Autumn is a weathercock
Blown every way.
Summer days for me
When every leaf is on the tree…”
Each year, as the schools summer term draws to a close, everyone looks forward to “the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer” when life moves at a more leisurely pace with families enjoying visits to the seaside and games in the park.
Our tradition at church has been to hold a Summer Refreshment Evening when term has finished.
Do join us for our annual celebration of this special season on Sunday July 21 at 6pm, an evening for all the family with contributions of music, poems, and artwork from all ages.
There will be the usual summer refreshments of strawberries, cream and cakes, with Fairtrade fizz and soft drinks.
Please let Lynn Radnedge know if you are able to contribute simple cakes lynnradnedge@gmail.com
